29 Days Until Camp NaNoWriMo June 2012!

With a little less than a month to go– do you know where your novel is?

The month before each NaNo event is when the forums over at National Novel Wiriting Month start picking up. The Camp website doesn’t have its own forums, relying instead on chatter inside each individual cabins.

This worked out badly last year since the chat interface was hard to follow and the 90/10 rule reigned (where 10% of the people do 90% of the commenting). Many a quiet cabin was heard, much to the woe of the campers.

But the forums over at NaNo proper are up and running and there are plenty of threads to come play in. (more…)

Ten Worlds in Thirty Days (or: June Camp NaNoWriMo)

Since I’m pantsing Script Frenzy, it’s time to start taking a hard look at the next challenge on the horizon! (Technically that’s the badge from last year’s Camp NaNoWriMo, but since they aren’t going to update the website until Script Frenzy is over, I’m going with it.)

The plan is to write a collection of unrelated short stories instead of a proper novel. I’m doing this because a) I can use the short stories as serials for the website and b) I might actually polish the rough drafts instead of post-and-forget.
