Wooden Cross #1
Wooden Cross magnet #1 is a faux-antiqued bronze with raised wood glue doodles.

I was playing around on the workbench and decided to doodle up some of the wooden cross magnets using wood glue! I figured I’d give them a nice pattern, then faux-antique the results and see how it looked. I think this one turned out quite nice, although some of the more subtle doodling was lost once the high gloss finish went on.
The cross magnets are finished with Liquitex Gloss sealer on the front and matte on the back. You should be able to wipe them clean with a damp cloth, but please don’t leave let them sit out in the rain.
The crosses are roughly 3.5 inches tall and about 3 inches wide and are most likely made of birch plywood, but only ArtMinds knows for sure. The magnet on the back is a single flat strip that runs the length of the cross. It’s quite sturdy and should be able to hold up paper without issues (although it might have issues with cardstock). The magnets are reinforced with wood glue and have been painted over and well sealed, so they won’t come loose.
Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, FolkArt Acrylics (2570 Chocolate Brown, 577 Sahara Gold, 661 Sequin Black), and Apple Barrel Acrylics (20504 Black).
