Description
Faux Me Twice is a Safari Ltd. TOOB standing pony painted to shaded turquoise with copper and gold markings that drew inspiration from both the Appaloosa pattern and the matrices that can be found in turquoise stones. This is a simplified version of what I did on Bergkam Droom and a tweaked version of the colors on Fat Pony Magnet #132.
I trimmed up her seams a little, but this pony was meant as a fun shelf piece and not a Live (or Photo) Show competitor.
She’s roughly 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, so bigger than a Micromini or Mini Whinnie (1:64 scale) and smaller than a Stablemate (1:32), so maybe 1:50ish?
Unlike most of her siblings, she managed to escape with only a tiny amount of hover-hoof, so she’s one of few that didn’t need a base for stability.
This little gal was started in March 2021 and finished up in April 2021 as part of a Paint ALL the Ponies! bonanza.
Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, FolkArt Acrylics (2570 Chocolate Brown), Ceramcoat (2604 Metallic 14K Gold), Apple Barrel Acrylics (20210 Turquoise, 21482 Bimini Blue, 20503 White, 20504 Black)
