Description
Like your favorite pair of old jeans, this little lady brings a dash of comfortable reliability to whatever magnetic surface she lands on!
She’s a solid blue with flaxen mane and tail and matching hooves. She’s got no chrome, but a lot of shine thanks to the high gloss finish.
The blue is a bit hard to capture correctly (sometimes it comes out much too blue), so I’ve taken a bunch of photos to try and capture the range. The ones on the black background seem to be truest to real-life (on my monitor).
She was cast from the first generation of OOMOO molds, but using the magnet leveling jig. So she has a slightly raised magnet, but her back isn’t as flat as her later cousins.
Fat Ponies are roughly 2.25 inches from nose to tail and 1.5 inches from hoof to mane. They are coated with several layers of gloss sealer, so you can wipe them clean with a damp cloth… but they probably shouldn’t go for a swim!
My resin magnets are hand-cast in from a handmade silicone mold of my own sculpture. Thus no two will be exactly alike! I’m still learning how to make molds and how to resin cast, so things aren’t perfect (yet) and I’ve tried to show off any flaws in the photos.
The magnets used are small round ceramic magnets and they are strong enough to hold up paper on a swinging door, but not cardstock. If you would like a stronger neodymium magnet instead, convo me for a custom order!
Fat Ponies come in a small plastic bag with a handmade tag, but you can add an optional handmade cardstock giftbox. They make a cute little gift or stocking stuffer for a horse crazy human!
Medium: Liquitex Gesso, CraftSmart Acrylics (Denim, Sailing Sky), and Apple Barrel Acrylics (20504 Black).
