This is a custom-made base and will take 3-5 days to create, depending on the humidity. After you order, I will contact you to get the specifics on how you would like it created.

The base can be covered with grass, sand, or a combination of the two. It’s a good fit for most 1:64 scale models, like Breyer Mini Whinnies and will work for a few of the Stablemates (1:32).

It’s is probably too small to be used for Micro photo showing and is meant for display purposes only. (Note: The horses shown are not included, this listing is only for one custom base.)

The base is a 4-inch diameter circle and the terrain-covered area has a 3.25-inch diameter. This base is not compatible with any of my model fencing templates.

The wooden base will be sanded, painted black and green/tan, finished in a glossy-ish sealer, and then covered in your choice of model train grass and/or sand. The terrain is attached in multiple layers with a mixture of water and Elmer’s wood glue and will go through several tap and wind tests to make sure it’s pretty sturdy.

An additional bag of grass (and/or sand) is included in case the base is ever damaged. The terrain can be attached with a mixture of water and Elmer’s glue. Instructions on how to repair the base and how it was made can be found here.

The base will ship in a handmade cardstock box that can be used for storage. The box has two flaps that can be curled to hold the base securely and release with pull tabs

Materials used: Artminds Wooden plaque, Green and Black acrylic craft paints, Krylon matte sealer, wood glue, train grass mix (Woodland Scenics, T45 Fine Turf Green Grass, T46 Fine Turf Weeds, and T43 Fine Turf Yellow Grass).
