Description

This listing is for a three-rail fence, which is 9 inches long and 2 inches tall. It’s made from basswood in roughly 1:32 scale using 1/4 inch square dowels and 3/16th inch wide planks. This scale will work with most Breyer Stablemates or 1 Gauge model trains.

This fence is designed to work with my 7×9 bases with Template D post holes, but as you can see from the one photo it will work (amusingly badly) with smaller bases that have Template A post holes. (The horses, bases, and other colored fences are not included.)

The fence is sanded, assembled with wood glue, and painted white. It has been coated with matte varnish so you can wipe it with a damp cloth, but it can’t soak in water. It’s relatively sturdy, so it should hold up to basic wear and tear, but is not intended for children. This is meant for adults (or young adults) who are using it for a display or Photo Show setup.

This fence will not stand on its own. It needs something you can stick the wire peg legs into, like floral foam or one of my awesome grass bases! 😉 If you would prefer the fence to come without posts, just add a note to the order letting me know.

The fence in the photos is only an example, but I have built jigs and other tools that allow me to make sure all fences are identical enough to be interchangeable.
