Urban Fantasy/Superhero/Science Fiction
The X-Men are a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, the characters first appeared in The X-Men #1 (Sept. 1963). They are among the most recognizable and successful intellectual properties of Marvel Comics, appearing in numerous books, television shows, films, and video games. (Wikipedia)
The Marvel Universe is the shared universe where the stories in most American comic book titles and other media published by Marvel Entertainment take place. Marvel superheroes such as the Avengers, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men are from this universe. (Wikipedia)

About the ‘Verse
This is one of my oldest (and most loved) fandoms! I started out writing comic-based fan fiction back in the alt.comics.fan-fiction days and my writing has thankfully gotten a lot better over the years. …Or at least I hope I have. My old stuff is archived here for posterity’s sake (ha!) and because it amuses the heck out of me to look at how far I’ve come. 🙂
I was writing primarily X-men and X-men AUs back in the day and am dabbling in the movie’verse now. Most of my stuff is canon-from-a-distance, so you can read 99% of it as Alternate Universe (AU). I love the giant mess that Marvel has made of things (with all the assorted retcons) and I’d highly recommend checking this fandom out if you love superheroes, or urban fantasy (which is more or less the same thing).

Stories
Stories are listed in the order written. Since some of these are from the alt.comics.fan-fiction days (1996!) I’ve so noted. My writing style has gotten a lot better since then, so it’s fun to see how far I’ve come! 🙂
HuntCat : 1588 words (06/04/96)
Long ago in the days of alt.comics.fan-fiction I wrote a random little piece about a creature sent to kill Jubilee, because… reasons? It expanded and evolved, but this is the original posting from 1996 for your amusement.
