Ah backgrounds! You can always tell the photos from the last few horses I painted because they either have the plain felt backgrounds or my photo show setups.
Mind you, I never got around to actually photoshowing, but the backdrops were still fun to make!
Oidhche Tairneach means Night Thunder in Gaelic, assuming you rely on the internet for translation. What it really means in Gaelic, I have no idea (although I’m hoping it’s something close).
I’m very happy with the paint job on this little guy, although the hooves once again are a bit below par. It’s sort of like dressing up to the nines for a job interview and then putting on flip-flops. Arg.
But otherwise, this little guy had some great shading, the white markings came out looking great and his eyes were a stroke of pure luck! I love it when the eyes really come together– they can easily make or break a model and I’m still at the start of my learning curve.
So much stuff to relearn once I break everything out of storage… Ah well, that’s half the fun!Oidhche Tairneach Oidhche Tairneach Oidhche Tairneach
