This little gal was done as an Add-a-Foal for Gold Digger and shares the same pseudo-stone pattern. Goldie was the only mule resculpt I’ve done to date and is an odd little critter. Mule ears are a lot harder than they look…
As you can see, I also trimmed down her tail to match. Although the ears aren’t the best thing I’ve ever done I think the overall effect came out decently. She’s a pretty good match for Digger and it was a lot of fun to try and recreate the pattern.
Goldie has black points and then a sort of splatterpainted spotting, to match the original finish on the Mule mold. Then she was layered with pthalocyanine green, which has that nifty translucent effect. Then a smattering of gold was added, for a bit of flair.
