Fat Unicorn #3

Fat Unicorn Magnet 003 Gray Gold - Front - Martha Bechtel

I’ve always thought unicorns should come in a rainbow of colors, so the third unicorn I painted was a bit of foggy morning in equine form!

This misty little Fat Unicorn is painted a solid gray with no white markings, lighter gray mane and tail, and a metallic antique gold horn and hooves.

This guy was part of the unicorn explosion that I painted in September of 2019 for that year’s UCP craft fair. I was having a blast of a time coming up with all the colors a unicorn could be (as well as a bunch of more traditional white).

You can tell by his messy back that he was after the ‘offsides have to be perfect’ rut I got stuck in with the first generation of ponies.

He was cast using the magnet leveling jig and has a slightly raised magnet and a nice flat back.
