Fat Unicorn #1

Fat Unicorn Magnet 001 Black Copper - Front - Martha Bechtel

I’ve decided that I’m going to keep the very first painted copy of each of the new sculptures, so when it came time to take brush to unicorn I knew just what to paint!

I’ve been in love with black unicorns for forever and I’m fond of black chestnut horses, so I’ve been itching to try out a black-copper combo.

And it looks awesome! 😂 (I’m totally not biased.)

He has a mostly painted back, but you can see I was starting to trend towards the more minimalist off-sides. The magnet is raised, but off-center a bit as he was made before I finished the magnet leveling jig.
