Madeline (Custom Breyer Stablemate Arabian)

Madeline - Custom Breyer Stablemate Arabian - Martha Bechtel - Right

Twelve baby carrots in two straight lines were left on the fence for Madeline… πŸ˜‚

My love of old children’s books aside, this dashing mare is finally ready to gallop off the workbench to a new home! She’s been waiting over a year for the final touches and was finished up as part of my bay-chestnut-tsunami.

Madeline is a Breyer Stablemate G4 Arabian painted to a dark bay with a small star, brown eyes, gray hooves, and a matte finish. Her eyes and inner nostrils have been lightly glossed.

She’s had her seams and logo removed, but no other changes were made to the mold. I personally would consider her possibly PSQ, but not LSQ. She was painted mainly as a fun shelf piece, so she wasn’t meant for the show ring.

The Breyer Stablemate G4 Arabian is a little under 3 inches tall, 3.5 inches long, and 1.5 inches wide. Per Breyer Stablemates are all 1:32 scale, but it varies a bit between molds.

Madeline was started in June of 2020 and finished up in September of 2021.

Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, DecoArt Americana Acrylics (DA174 Milk Chocolate, DA163 Honey Brown, DA095 Neutral Gray), Apple Barrel (20504 Black, 20258 Melted Chocolate), and pastels.
