Last week I finished off all the remaining custom requests TOOB ponies and they should be out in the mail a bit later this week! 😁
I don’t have anything new committed too for the rest of 2021, so it’s time to regroup and do inventory!
This week is going to focus on getting all the rest of the finished ponies posted (to the blog/store/social media/etc).
It’s the less fun admin work of creating art, which is why I tend to let it pile up. Part of my new ‘get slightly more organized’ is making a rule that I stop and do the less shiny stuff every time I finish a piece.
Stampede to the Shop!
I need to look over all the non-TOOBs to make sure there hasn’t been any damage from storage. Some of these guys are quite a few years old!
I think I’ve got a few more ponies hiding out in storage. I’m trying to go through everything and log all the WiPs properly, but that project will run until 2022 I think.
Plus after the model horses come the magnets, and the bases, and the fencing, and the books, and the ornaments, and, and, and… yeah, err, so maybe 2023? 😅
Mini Whinnie Wave Update
I finally took the time to sit down and break out the Mini Whinnie Wave into its component horses. I ended up with 79 adults and 10 foals, so that’s plenty of bodies to add to the list.
So I’m a little torn on if I should customize those. Not sure I can clean them up enough to be shelf pieces, but I sort of want to try…
Other Odds and Ends
Part of the Admin work is to finish copying all the old paint records out of the falling-apart-book and into the won’t-fall-apart-book, but that’s pretty low on the list of To-Dos. Maybe next week I can do it as an easy win.
I should probably make a list of all the things I need to do to be ‘done’ with inventory, but that’s a mountain I think I’ll ignore as I climb. Seems more motivating to look down at the progress and not up at the summit. 😅
Anywho… ONWARDS! 😁
