Ember (Custom Safari Ltd. TOOB Standing Pony)

Ember - Custom Safari Ltd TOOB Standing Pony - Martha Bechtel - Left

Ember is a Safari Ltd. TOOB standing pony painted to a fiery red with orange and yellow mane, tail, and eyes, four white socks, a grass base, and a glossy finish. I trimmed up her seams a little, but this pony was meant as a fun shelf piece and not a Live (or Photo) Show competitor.

Reds and oranges always seem to fight my camera, so she looks much more shaded in person– there’s multiple shades of red, oranges, and yellow!

She’s roughly 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, so bigger than a Micromini or Mini Whinnie (1:64 scale) and smaller than a Stablemate (1:32), so maybe 1:50ish?

As is common with this mold, she had some leg issues which means she got a nifty green grass base to keep her stable. (puns!😂)

This little gal was started way back in July 2017 and finally finished up in April 2021 as part of a Paint ALL the Ponies! bonanza.

Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, DecoArt Americana Acrylics (DA09 Antique Gold), FolkArt Acrylics (436 Engine Red, 437 Lipstick Red, 736 School Bus Yellow, 2900 Cardinal Red), Apple Barrel Acrylics (21381 Sweet Potato, 21471 Spiced Carrot, 21472 Jack-o-Lantern, 21474 Yellow Flame, 20516 Ivory, 20503 White, 20504 Black)
