Bailey is a Safari Ltd. TOOB standing pony painted to black chestnut with sun-faded flaxen mane and tail, brown eyes, gray hooves, and a matte finish. I trimmed up her seams a little, but this pony was meant as a fun shelf piece and not a Live (or Photo) Show competitor.
She’s one of the ponies that ran into the ‘spray sealer went weird’ issue, but it gave her a nice smokey look that I really like. So I’m chalking it up to a happy accident. 😁
She’s one of the lucky ponies that didn’t have any leg issues, so she stands nice and square. No need for a base or resculpted hooves!
This molded is roughly 2.5 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, so bigger than a Micromini or Mini Whinnie (1:64 scale) and smaller than a Stablemate (1:32)– so maybe 1:50ish?
This little gal was started in May 2021 as a custom request and finished up the same month.
Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, DecoArt Americana Acrylics (DA063 Burnt Sienna, DA163 Honey Brown, DA077 Desert Sand, DA064 Burnt Umber, DA095 Neutral Gray, DA09 Antique Gold), and Apple Barrel Acrylics (20258 Melted Chocolate, 20503 White, 20504 Black)
