It feels odd starting over again at Week 1, but here we go! ๐
Monday
Downloaded lots of WoW updates (and some Windows ones) on the treadmill computer. Spent time on the desktop figuring out which Alt to play first (and which expansion).
Featherpaw: level 11 (dinged while getting to Dalaran)

Tuesday

8pm and I was on the treadmill! Still no gaming mouse (darn you Amazon) but it turns out I had one more WoW update and then video card driver updates. So I walked for 30 min at 1.4mph and goofed around on Reddit.
Apparently, WoW will still run on a GTX 760… it just really doesn’t want to. ๐
But if I set everything to the very lowest settings, it runs– so yay!
My mouse went from the other side of the country, to one state away, to the right state, then back to the middle of the country. It went from saying ‘by 8pm tonight’ to ‘if you don’t get it by the 12th we’ll give you a refund’. SIGH.
The treadmill setup is still comfortable, but we’ll see how it goes once I’m using it more regularly. It may need tweaking.
Wednesday

Still no mouse, but I went ahead and walked anyways (after a few more fights with the videocard drivers). Roughly 35 minutes at 1.4mph and I got to actually play the game this time!
It took me much longer than I care to admit to realise they’d given me a teleport to Moonglade with the quest. (The normal druid one unlocks at 22 and I was 11.) But I got the start to the legendary quest done and I’m on track to finally start leveling for realz tomorrow.
Featherpaw: level 12
Thursday

I wasn’t feeling well today and it took me much longer than it should have to realise I could heal the corruption as I was trying to get the staff. I died SO. MANY. TIMES. I’m just not the brightest crayon in the box sometimes. ๐
Roughly 25 minutes at 1.4mph and picked up my legendary staff and a level.
Featherpaw: level 13
Friday
Felt under the weather, so no WoW today. (Alas.)
So have an old picture of Ashella and The Rat That Took Forever To Fish Up!

Saturday
Feeling much better, so today I went on a 55 min walk at 1.4. I finally have a gaming mouse for the treadmill (aka mouse with lotsa buttons) so I went ahead and added Bartender to the Addon list. It’s been funny, I’m so used to having one I kept pressing buttons that weren’t there. ๐
Two more levels, which bodes well for the pace of things and now I’ve got to go look up what Resto talents to use. To Icy Veins!
…Looks like I’ll be picking up Cenarion Ward, since I’m not planning on running dungeons until much later.
I keep forgetting to skin things, so this doesn’t bode well for leveling professions. I need to see what Achievs I can unlock in Legion so I have a sightseeing to-do list…
Featherpaw: level 15
New Addons: Bartender4
Sunday

I spent 15 min at 1.4mph spent downloading updates and drivers… only to realise I’d downloaded the wrong thing. So I hopped off and let the right thing install.
The whole point to playing WoW on the treadmill is that it distracts me from the pain of walking– downloaded and installing updates, not so much.
After updates were done I hopped back on for another 30 min at 1.4 and dinged another level. Things were much easier with the keybinds, since I use the ones on the mouse to shift forms with my druids. (I also have a few ‘oh shit’ keybinds).
I was having a heck of a time with the nameplates (and tracking what was moonfired) so I went ahead and added back on ThreatPlates. I will probably give in and do a few more next week… but I’m trying to be minimalist! ๐คฃ
Featherpaw: level 16
New Addons: ThreatPlates
Weekly Sum-up
It looks like my old computer is going to still be able to play, albeit on very low settings. Since I don’t wear my glasses while playing, it’s all bit blurry anyway, so that’s all good.
Leveling as a healer is much less stressful than I thought it would be and the old mouse/keyboard setup is still comfortable. I’ll try and do a post on my keybinds and layout once I’m a little more settled into using them.
It’s going to take me a while to build up my stamina again, but I should be able to do at least 30 min a day going forward.
All in all, not a bad start to the adventure!
In Other Toons

In theory, if I can get up to playing an hour a day, I should end up leveling an alt about once a month (or so). I figured that meant I should probably take a look at the professions I needed on the Horde side…
I also need to stop starting things on new servers. (I have another handful of toons, but these are my three main groups.) ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
For right now I’m going on concentrate on my Horde alts on the server where my main is– So gogo, ‘paw alts!
Turns out I’ve started a lot of alts, but haven’t really set any of them up properly. (Figures!) I don’t want to have anything but druids on herbalism or mining since those you have to fight botters for.
I have no clue what any of the mats are going to go for now that Blizz is (in theory) cracking down on the bots that were keeping everyone else from being able to gather herbs/ore. For the moment, I’m going one gathering one crafting.
For Shadowlands legendaries I’m going to need: Tailoring, Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, and Jewelcrafting, so off we go!
Icepaw boomkin – herbalism, alchemy
Felpaw dh – nothing (blacksmithing, mining)
Inkpaw bear – leatherworking, skinning
Firepaw monk – nothing (enchanting, skinning)
Ivypaw cat – nothing – need guild (jewel crafting, mining)
Ty – nothing – need guild (inscriptionist, skinning)
Featherpaw resto – skinning, tailoring
