
1. Colony ships fan out across a universe, waves of fauna and flora deposited by unmanned ships that slowly transform worlds in our image.
2. Tuesdays the dollar menus have a buy-two-get-one-free and he stocks his mini-freezer with plain chicken sandwiches bought with change scrounged from the dorm’s common rooms.
3. Moths skim along her window chasing echoes of the moon.
4. “This is the fate of heroes then, burnt offerings and bitter tears?” But the Gods never answered and I left her sword at the base of the temple steps, the charred and pitted metal marring snow-white marble.
5. Flight restriction spells blanket the city pulling them towards the ground, slowly at first and then more forcefully as they near the capitol building.
