Fat Pony #131

Fat Pony Magnet 131 - Bay Roan - Martha Bechtel - front black

There’s nothing like a bay roan with a bit of chrome to brighten up your day!

If your magnetic surfaces are in need of a little equine kick, this little gal is ready to bring the spice. She’s a basic bay roan with a bald face and four white legs. She counts as a very minimal sabino if you squint. 😅

This little gal was started in October 2019 and finished up in September 2020! I have a lot of magnets that are partially painted and one of my goals for 2020 was to bring them across the finish line.

She was cast from the second generation of OOMOO molds using the magnet leveling jig. She has a slightly raised magnet and a nice flat back. The new setup makes prepping a lot easier!

Medium: Liquitex Gesso, Americana Acrylics (DA063 Burnt Sienna, DA095 Neutral Gray), and Apple Barrel Acrylics (21464 Cameo Pink, 20503 White, and 20504 Black).
