
As I was working my way down the realistic color spectrum, I realised I hadn’t done a buckskin yet!
THE HORROR!
No, seriously, I do love buckskins (and not just because of Spirit), so I set about righting that wrong asap.
I was going to paint him a plain buckskin, but I got caught up in the appaloosa bonanza with #45, #31, and #35 and couldn’t resist adding some spots. So I’ll have to wait until the next round of casting to bring a few more buckskins into the herd.
He was cast from the first generation OOMOO molds using the magnet leveling jig. He has a slightly raised magnet and his back is relatively flat, but needed a little bit of carving.

Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, DecoArt Americana Acrylics (DA09 Antique Gold), and Apple Barrel Acrylics (20504 Black).
