Wooden Butterfly #3

Wooden Butterfly Magnet 003 - Copper Gold Silver - Front - Martha Bechtel

The last of the three inaugural butterflies from July 2017, this one was a dance through the metallic end of the spectrum!

Starting with a flat acrylic copper, I decorated it with a faux-morse code pattern of dashes and dots in silver, gold, and black. Finished off in with Liquitex Gloss sealer, it brings a lot of shine to wherever it lands.

It’s got a double row of flat magnets on the back and plenty of holding power. It also is the last of the painted numbering, so it’s the end of an era!

Medium: Liquitex White Gesso, Apple Barrel Acrylics (664 Copper), and CraftSmart paint pens (Black, Gold, Silver).
