1. There are shadows dancing along the graves that only she can see.

2. Burnt husks of the largest trees are all that’s left after the fires have been snuffed out. The smaller saplings and brush that edged the meadow are nothing but ash and scattered charcoal. There’s little to show the cabin was ever there, save a few cracked stones and puddles of melted glass half-buried in the mud.

3. Brownies keep the space stations cleaner than the robots ever did.

4. Fall harvests are the last food they’ll have before winter sets in and they coax as much from the fields as they can.

5. “Do you realize how inconvenient this is?” the Valkyrie snapped as the battle medic brought Michael back to life for the third time that morning.
