Peter came for Wendy and her sister / brother / friend, but she chose not to follow him to Neverland / Sídhe / Álfheimr / Elf-hame. Left behind and alone, her dreams echoed with their cries for help.
So she went to the crossroads / churchyard / hawthorn / river and made a midnight bargain.
Wendy lost her name and a bit of what made her Human, but gained immortality and the power to Call Home what was Lost.
They’ve never answered… but she never stops trying.
