I have roughly thirteen years of content in the blog now, but most of the older posts get little to no traffic. This is something I have made some half-hearted attempts to fix in the past, with little success. I figure now is as good a time as any to take another stab at it!
Sometimes your muses need a little push, so try some literal world building, translucent dragons, lunch woes, impossible retreats, and painful purification.
Look, down on the ground! It's a cloud! It's a fog! No, it's... a bit of equine fluff looking for a magnet-friendly surface to call home!
Piano Adagietto carries on my grand tradition of naming models after musical notation (Senza Sordina, Piano Forte, etc.). Piano is soft and Adagietto is slow, but lighthearted-- a perfect match to his ambling gait or "paso llano."
Stuck in a story and need help escaping the messy middles? Try out subplots with aged magic, space fish, youthful mistakes, noisy progress, and city rent woes!
Camp NaNoWriMo is halfway done, so if your Muses are stuck in the Deadly Middles try adding some alien crops, tiny death knives, farmboy's daydreams, secret scientists, or foxy lies!
Allergy season has been in full swing, so I've been fighting off headaches for the past few weeks (months?). Since migraines and artwork don't really go hand-in-hand, less has happened on the workbench (and the Writing Desk) than I would have liked. But stuff has happened! :D There's a new lightbox, a bit of plaster of paris and wood glue experimenting, magnification hijinks, and the beginnings of a 100 Day Project of creation and not consumption!
Wordcounts starting to wane? Bust your writer's block with flipped hunts, unfunny business, overly creative history, greedy neighbors, and chasing whys!
