Fat Pony #40

Fat Pony Magnet #40

There might already be some metallic shine in the Etsy herd, but this little fat pony magnet is a proper sort of gold!

This handsome soul is a rich palomino with one white sock and snow white mane and tail. He was originally going to be another tobiano, to partner up with #037, but he was dead set on having his chrome be purely decorative. So he’s down to wearing one anklet and a whole lot of attitude… like most good ponies! 😉

He is coated with several layers of gloss sealer and can be wiped clean with a damp cloth… but he probably shouldn’t go for a swim!

The Fat Ponies are hand-cast in resin from a handmade silicone mold of my own sculpture and thus no two will be exactly alike. I’m still learning how to make molds and how to resin cast, so things aren’t perfect (yet!) and I’ve tried to show off any flaws in the photos.

The magnets used are small round ceramic magnets and they are strong enough to hold up paper on a swinging door, but not cardstock. If you would like a stronger neodymium magnet instead, convo me for a custom pony! 🙂

Ponies are roughly 2.25 inches from nose to tail and 1.5 inches from hoof to mane. This little guy was cast from the first generation OOMOO molds using themagnet leveling jig. He has a slightly raised magnet and his back is pretty much flat, needing a only a slight bit of carving to clean up his edges.
