1. Even the center of town is empty this time of day, it’s too hot to be out and the shops have all closed their shutters against the sun.

2. Beckoning from the hallway, the ghost hovered silently awaiting our decision.

3. “I’ve never said I love you, but it’s in everything I do.”

4. In their frantic haste to escape they gut the planet creating ships, leaving behind only a booby-trapped shell.

5. The lake house is tiny, secluded, and empty… perfect for summoning demons. Now she just had to hope they had enough salt.
