All Roads Lead to Etsy (Sorry Woo!)

I’ve been playing around with WooCommerce to see if it’s a viable alternative to Etsy for me for the eBooks… but in the end, it’s just not a good fit. There’s just too many extra steps to get everything setup the way I want it (buying SSL certificates, getting a dedicated IP, etc.) and I am a lazy, lazy soul. 😉

So I’m regretfully stopping the experiment and closing down the store this weekend. I’ll need to see if I can edit the Pins to those pages or if I need to delete them. *sighs* Maybe someday I’ll come back to the Woo-fold when I’ve got enough shinies to sell to make it worthwhile…

EDIT: It looks like I won’t be able to change the pins, so I’m leaving the 31 Days of Dragons up until July, since it’s free. I can’t find a way to make an Etsy listing into a freebee (plus it would cost me moola to list), so I’ll have to find another way to offer PDFs in the future. Hmm…

Anywho.

Once I have the new versions of the yearly prompt collections done, I’ll go back and update my Smashwords and Amazon stores, but for now I’m just keeping Etsy shop up to date with the 31’s as I post them each month. They are mostly just bribes to get folks to join the mailing list anyways. 😀

And now off to work on next month’s offering… (31 Days of Vistas!)

UPDATE: Woo cause password reset issues (as in: I had to manually go into the database and reset passwords), so unfortunately it’s been uninstalled a little earlier than planned.
