What do you do when a friend asks for ornaments for her birthday? …Break out the art supplies, of course! ๐
This little guy was sculpted, molded, cast, and painted all within a week. He was my emotional recovery project from the doggie destruction of my 2017 NaNoPaiMo horse and it was nice to get my fingers in Sculpey again.
For the very first copy I went with a traditional reindeer color and snowy pine trees against a night sky. Because I am me, I also started up a few fantasy copies that are lounging half-finished on the workbench.
I have to say the OOMOO 30 is a lot easier to work with than the silicone caulk molds! I still get some bubbles and it’s not all perfect, but pouring molding material instead of mushing it around is a blessing.
Alas I took the photos in the car on the way to the birthday party, so you’ll have to make do without fancy pics. ๐
