I’d love to say I can’t believe that I didn’t post a workbench update at all in October… but I’m not. Sheepish, yes, but astonished, no. At least I’m consistently inconsistent! 😉

So what have I been doing with all that time?

MAGNETS! 😀 (and handmade eraser stamps, and pourable silicone casting, and rebuilt lightboxes, and methods for fixing sticky sealer, and all sort of packaging experimentation, and, and, and…)

TL;DR — this is going to be a long post!

I helped out as a minion at an art show and in return I got to steal a bit of space at my Mom’s table to sell some magnets. I went into things assuming I would sell zero, but planning for the worst (selling everything). Amazingly I did end up selling 12 magnets, which delighted me to no end. *small happy dance*

In preparation for the show I ended up doing a lot of inventory and magnet repair (and creation), so there will be some updates incoming to the listings and Etsy shop. I fixed sticky sealer issues, made sure everything had labels, and generally sorted things out.

Handmade stamps made from pink erasers
It’s the thought that counts!

I also had fun coming up with packaging and made some stamps out of pink erasers (also needs a tutorial!). The packaging worked out really well, even though I didn’t use as much of it as I had worried about and I think it looks pretty snazzy.

I did a lot of work learning how to do pourable silicone OOGOO 30 molds and have better molds for several of the Fat Animal Magnets. I need to finish making the rest of them (as well as some tutorials), but I’m pretty confident with them at this point.

OOMOO 30 and Lego Casting, gogogo!

Which means it’s time to start uploading things to the Etsy story again!

And in preparation for that I also rebuild the light box I had built for my indoor photograph, so there will be a post on that. Plus I’m trying to get a solid formula down for the layout so I can take better pictures without as much tweaking each time. Wish me luck! *crosses fingers*

I’ve joined a bunch of Facebook groups about photography and Etsy’dom, so I’ll have some posts about those as well…

What Will Be

Revised Lightbox
Revised Lightbox ready to rumble!

I need to do is finish the darned model horses!!!!

But beyond that, I have a lot of posting to catch up on, both on the blog and in the Etsy store. NaNoWriMo is going to eat up most of my time this month, but I’m trying not to fall into the trap of letting it eat all of my time.
