Some dolphins hang out in the deep blue sea, but this little gal is chilling along the shore!
Unlike her fantasy-flavored cousins this little landscape dolphin is all about bringing a bit of calm to your office or kitchen (or other magnet-friendly abode).
So sit back, relax, and let the beach hold up those important papers while you take five… or maybe twenty.
This fine finned wonder was painted in acrylics and then finished off with a layer of sand (alas, not true beach sand) to give her some depth. Everything has been well sealed and the ocean has been glossed, so the sand is sturdy– but please don’t try and take her for a swim! 😉
I had a bit of trouble capturing the blues and greens with the camera, but I think the various photos give a good idea of how the color will look under different lights.
The dolphin is a craft wood cutout roughly 4 inches long and about 2.5 inches high. She’s most likely made of birch plywood, but only ArtMinds knows for sure. She was painted in acrylics and finished with a high gloss to make her shine like water (or wet sand).
The magnets on her back are your generic flat magnets and she can hold three sheets of paper. If you’d like a dolphin with a little more holding power, I do take custom orders.
