Saying Goodbye to LiveJournal

Posted on July 17, 2017December 13, 2018 by Martha Bechtel

Account Created on 7 April 2002… it’s been a long time coming, but I need to move on.

I’ve been working on moving my LiveJournal account over to Dreamwidth ever since the latest Russian Law kerfuffle, but it’s time to kick that into high gear. I want to have the LJ account emptied (save for the ‘where to find me now’) post by the end of 2017.

That means the fanfiction needs to finish moving here (and Dw and AO3) and I need to start deleting the posts on LJ. There are a lot of personal posts over there as well, but those I’m downloading just for a personal journal. Most of them are 100% uninteresting to folks who don’t know me personally… and family posts are what Facebook is for. 😉

As of this moment I have 4,304 posts over there and at least 250 are fan fiction. I currently have 202 fanfic posts (in draft or otherwise) in the blog now… so I’ve got a way to go. *rolls up sleeves*
