Sometimes good decisions are only good when you stand a galaxy away and look back.

And sometimes they’re only good when you’re neck deep in pain and loss; and the blood on your hands is never your own; and fuck ‘the good of the many,’ because you won’t let them have this one, or the next one, or the next; because a line in the sand is never as clear as the line where the sea meets the sky; and ‘this far no farther’ in a different voice from a different time rings just as true in the vastness that isn’t home in all the usual ways but is home in all the ways that count.

And this is your line.
