The problem wasn’t that Rodney argued with her.

Atlantis never bullied, just walked him through each step in her assessments; coldly logical and endlessly patient. Showing him each permeation, each branch along the tree that led to her solution.She had the time; conversations across the interface took seconds not hours, and ultimately he was the one who made the choice, yes or no, ones or zeroes. It was Janus’s failsafe, a human gate to temper an inhuman logic.

She’d been built for Elizabeth; she rebuilt herself for Rodney.

The problem wasn’t that he argued, the problem was he agreed.
