I have a lot of favorites when it comes to the Fat Animal Magnets, but the corgis are definitely up there! ๐
As soon as I came up with the idea of doing these magnets, I knew corgis had to be somewhere in the list. Not only is it one of my brother’s all time favorite animals, but it’s just so darned cute!
I tried to be better when it came to picking colors with these guys than I was with the corgiloafs, and the realistic ones are actually based on Pembrokes (and not Cardigans).
Except for the flaming one… I blame Blizzard for that one. ๐

#001 The first corgi was a traditional tan and white (or ‘Red’). It’s what most folks think of they picture a Pembroke, so I figured it was the right place to start. Painted with Craft Smart (Golden Brown), Americana (DA163 Honey Brown).
#002 The second corgi was a black tricolor (or ‘Black & Tan’), because that’s the color my own corgi is (go Rocko!) and I am horribly horribly biased. ๐ Painted with Craft Smart (Golden Brown), Americana (DA163 Honey Brown), Apple Barrel (20504 Black).
#003 Was my chance to dip into the fantasy world… and what better sort of corgi to do than fire? I blame Blizzard for the inspiration because of their awesome Molten Corgi, but I’m actually planning on doing several elemental corgis. So consider this a first stab at the genre. Painted with FolkArt (436 Engine Rec, 2901 Apple Red, Apple Barrel (21472 Jack-o-Lantern, 21474 Yellow Flame).
