Always Starting Over

And the fog rolls in…

It’s been over a week since NaNoWriMo came to a close… and I think I went into blogging overdose for a bit there. I’m still a bit in shock that I managed to post something everyday for [Placeholder]. I haven’t managed a streak that long in a loooooong time.

For one shining moment of insanity I actually considered trying to follow that up with a post-a-day for art in December… and then I realized that I’d had issues just posting a photo a day, when I did it last year.

So in the meantime I’ve been playing on Scribophile. And making covers for Wattpad. And painting horses. And sculpting Christmas magnets. And playing Roguelands. And, and, and… ignoring the blog.

Bad blogger, no biscuit!

Must. Have. Plan!

Failing to plan is planning to fail, or something like that… which means it’s time to play around with blog posting schedules. (Which I do, a lot.)

Part of that madness is looking at what sort of blog I want to have next year. Since I’m constantly reinventing this place, a little housecleaning may be in order. *eyes her editing chainsaw*

Art and Writing are obviously two key things that will never go away, but there are a few sections of the blog I haven’t posted to in a while. I either need to make a better effort to post to them or I need to make a conscious choice to bench them.

My old Blog Planning spreadsheet… Overkill, methinks?

And that means getting organized so I get the darned posts done! (I have So. Many. Drafts. eek.)

So part of 2017 will be making sure I stick to whatever posting plan I pick. I keep looking over the planning journals and actually downloaded and printed out the SELF Journal… but then never really used it. But it’s a great excuse to practice my bookbinding (I need a post on that!) thus I’m going to give it another try.

2017 will be the Year of Doing! 😀  … I hope? 😉
