Saturday Story Prompts [2016.09.17]

1. There’s no history here yet, so they set about making some.

2. The plow mule is a massive thing, made for raw power instead of riding comfort, but it’s fast enough to save him from the floodwaters and smart enough to keep him from walking across landslides and broken bridges.

3.“You’re cute when you’re angry.”
“You’re an ass when you’re drunk.”
“Ooo, good catch! Five points to Slytherin.”
“Can you please stop that and help me?”
“It’s the end of the world, I think I’ve earned it.”

4. Four miles down the last named road the GPS insisted he take a left into the woods. It took him a good five minutes to find the ghost of an old dirt road overgrown with weeds and a handful of thin saplings. Another strong summer and the track would be completely lost to the forest. For a moment he thought about pretending it already was.

5. She told them her magic was in her hair, because she’d been down this road before and hair is easier to regrow than hands.
