Rumtumtugger (Custom Safari Ltd. TOOB Walking Pony)

Rumtumtugger - Custom Safari Ltd. Walking Pony - Angle
Rumtumtugger

Every bookshelf herd needs a little pony attitude to keep things real and Rumtumtugger is just the lead mare for the job!

This little gal is named after a cat from Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T. S. Eliot, who much like ponies, is quite sure of what he wants and notoriously hard to please. Give this mare an inch and before you can finish singing Memory she’ll be ruling over your whole house with an iron hoof.

This little gal is a Safari Ltd TOOB horse, which normally means an (HSO) Horse-Shaped-Object, but they’ve actually done a pretty good job with the Ponies.

She’s roughly 2.5 inches long and a 1.5 inches high, so bigger than a Micromini or Mini Whinnie (1:64 scale) and smaller than a Stablemate (1:32)– so maybe 1:50ish? She’s roughly 2/3rds the size of a Stablemate Shetland Pony, so I suppose you could claim she is Miniature Pony…

While I did make a go at removing her seams and logo, the seams did me in. She is in no way a LSQ (Live Show Quality) or even PSQ (Photo Show Quality) horse because of that. She’s just a fun little dapple grey pony with high whites, a snip on her nose, and glossed eyes and nostrils.

I hope someone else falls in love with her as much as I have! 🙂
