Everyone thought it was about Lily, and it was… and every wizard, mudblood or pure. He could see the society starting to tear along the seams, a rift of ‘us’ and ‘them’ that threatened to destroy the wizarding world as surely as a clichéd dark lord.

And so, when offered a chance to show them that things couldn’t– shouldn’t keep following a crumbling status quo he took it.

They were supposed to stop fighting each other and fight the token Evil Overlord… but they didn’t. They learned nothing from the war, save how to blame others for self-inflicted woes.

Idiots.
