It had seemed like such a good idea at the time. Emma sighed as she cleaned up the remnants of her son’s birthday party. It wasn’t her fault she was a Muggle, no more that it was poor Edward’s fault he’d been born a Wizard. These things happened, or so she was told. But really now, how was she to know that Marvin the Magician’s canine sidekick Melvin was an animagus in disguise? She hadn’t even known what an animagus was. Oh well, it had still gone over better than the clowns…
