The potion tasted vile, as it always did, and Snape winced as the magic reshaped his body. It was a complex bit of magic, not quite a Polyjuice potion, not quite a Transfiguration spell. He was no animagus, but this was close enough. The ebony pseudo-dragon stretched its wings, kicking up miniature snowstorms in the eves. Let them play in Hogsmeade with their friends, he had better things to do. With a violent leap the drake plunged into the darkening sky. Keep your wolves and stags, and earthbound souls, he thought to himself, You’ll never take the sky from me.
