
1. It rains every day at four o’clock sharp.

4. Books are hand-bound in exotic leather and expensive dyes, but it’s the paper inside that sets the price. The best bookkeepers can tell you not only the planet and the plant, but often the year a book was made –sometimes even the papermaker– just by inspecting the pages.
5. Without a sun they count off the days by using the brightest stars as substitutes.
