One of the things I’m looking forward to doing in May whilst FAFFing is curling up with books about books. Or more accurately books about writing books. (I do have a few ‘normal’ books as well in my pile as well, for the days when I’m feeling less thinky.)
Page after Page by Heather Sellers
No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty
Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott
Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg.
I’ve read bits and pieces of all of them before, but I haven’t really sat down and read them the way I would do a textbook– savoring each drop of information. I may do blog posts, I may do book reviews, but I’m definitely going to soak in them for a bit (without feeling guilty for goofing off)!
I’m looking forward to getting my teeth back into The Book That Isn’t Rise and Walk, but my writerly fires are somewhat dimmed by this current month’s Camp NaNo and my less than stellar performance therein.
