The 15 Minute Box

The 15 Minute Box

I’m not the best at building good habits or even remembering that I’m supposed to be building good habits– so I’ve taken my 15 timer theme and bumped it up a notch.

My current goal is to try and start a 15 minute timer every time I begin working on something (except for the treadmill) so I sat down and wrote out all of the chores I could think of around the house. I color coded them by room because Yay Markers! and am sorting them out into frequency, actual amount of time it takes to do, prior and next steps, and materials required.

Now every time the timer goes off I pull a random card from the box and get started! And on Sunday nights I reload the box, building it based on what needs to be done in the coming week.

The next batch of cards is going to be micro-business related, which includes writing and artwork (and blog posts).

I figure I’ll roll with this set and add or breakdown tasks as needed. Once I have something solid I think I might see if I can get them printed on playing cards– it would be fun to share the amusement value of ‘running a business/house/life 15 minutes at a time.’ ๐Ÿ˜‰
