Horses and wolves and tigers, oh my!
Well, to be truthful the only ones that are being worked on right now are the new portrait horse custom (Giselle) and the last touches of the purple Sparklewulf.
In order to time how long the traditional takes, I’m taking a before and after photo every time I sit down… prepping makes for an amusing animation of a horse slowly going white. Or at least it will as soon as I find a way to animate gifs. 😉
Sparklewulf will be done this week and is not for sale. He’s a home herd wolf and was painted a) for fun and b) to see how hard it would be to paint wolves. I had fun playing with some false watercolor techniques, dry brushing, and other things that you can only do with fluffy coats.
I’m hoping to have the Traditional prepped and ready for paint by the end of this weekend. Going extra slow with it since I’m painting on the primer instead spray painting it, but I’ve had too many bad experiences with spray primer to risk it. *turtles along*
Looks like there were no nibbles on the Facebook discount sale, so I’ll move it to Blab next month if nothing else pops. I’m still doing the books, but I don’t need that much to break even for this year, so I’m not in a rush.
