1. “That’s impossible!”

“Not impossible, improbable—but goals are made to be missed more that reached; otherwise you’re setting the bar too low.”

2. The world had only just begun to leave a true history behind: broadcasts showing how we dressed, how we talked, how we lived… how we died. And someday, somewhere on the other end of a radio wave we’ll live again.

3. Direct sunlight is too dangerous, so it’s only on overcast days that they go out to hunt.

4. It’s easier to remember things put to music so they teach the locals basic math and science to a catchy beat and purloined nursery rhymes.

5. No one wants to be a dog, at least not at first.
