1. I wished for love and got cupcakes instead.

2. They’ve built a city that floats over the sand; short straw buildings supported on frictionless skis coast silently behind the giant lizards.

3. “Only tell people the truths they want to hear, it’s safer that way.”

“The truths they want, or the lies they need?” She looked back at him, but he wouldn’t meet her eyes.

4. Fire belches from the bubbling ground, throwing gobs of burning pitch across building and men.

5. Life is infinite; the one constant in the universe– once you know where to look.
