She tries to explain what she is, what she does. That Dancers lead others down the Paths, unique in their ability to match undulations with the slender channels spanning the void between realities. She paints pictures of the vast horizonless deep lit with tiny blue threads, fragile webs that frames eternity.

But words are flawed placeholders and dancing the paths so much more than mere movement.

In the end she shows him instead, twisting him free of the shell of flesh he’s trapped in– unfurling everything she is and everything that he was meant to be.

He’s never forgiven her.
