4. Two trees, one oak, one birch, grow entwined above her grave. On the bad days he comes out and sits in their shadow until his grief is lost in the dancing patterns of light.
5. “Who was that girl?”
“Who the blond?” She handed him his coffee with an annoyed snort.
“No the poodle.”
