The Story of Everyday Dragons

Posted on August 30, 2012December 5, 2018 by Martha Bechtel

Everyday Dragons is the easiest subblog to storyboard for because it’s the only one where there’s a clear goal in sight– the development of a functional microbusiness with multiple income streams.

It covers accounting, Virginia & Federal taxes, marketing, product design, copyrighting, inventory tracking and management, product costing, and all sort of other fun stuff! (Fun to me at least. 😉 )

Oddly, it’s also the blog with the least amount of entries. This is probably due to the fact that the posts are more information-driven than the others and thus require research to write.

But research or not, it’s pretty easy to hash out topics for 2013 with only a few moments of brainstorming. Much like the Custom-Models.com subblog (which is due for a rename), I have a bevy of topic s to choose from, but I also have a natural order that they fall into.

For the rest of 2012 I’m going to focus on the microbusiness foundations: inventory tracking, basic accounting, basic taxes, etc. Nothing fancy, but something to get the habits and routines in place that I’ll need to have come next year.

Then once I have ‘how to do paperwork 101’ out of the way, I can get into the fun stuff… 😀
