1. Books are obsolete, unwarranted wastes of time and materials, but they make them anyway. Building new world from the pulped remains of the old.

2. Werecats have been around much longer than werewolves, less obvious and more circumspect about their prey.

3. Everything they plant dies, no matter how careful they are, and they finally give up and move the hydroponics back inside the hollow carcass of the ship.

4. Night falls with a rising howl of wind through the canyons. It’s low and throbbing like a giant’s heartbeat that calls the caverns awake.

5. “Can you imagine what life would be like without it?” She looked up at the vast dome that crackled and sputtered in the sunlight.
