1. Army Ants take advantage of the low gravity, building massive chains of workers that stretch between the trees; arboreal highways constantly moving as the colony strips the canopy clean.

2. “Get down!”

He ducked and the falling tree cut through the air where he’d been standing. He spent several moments crawling back from the near-death panic… and which point he realized the fox could talk.

3. Beaches of pink sand ring the island, silent reminders of the massive brick fortifications that once stood guard across the channel.

4. The outcrop of stone is all that saves them, cushioning the blast of fire that sets the wooden fences alight. Their wet clothes still smoke, but they’re safe from the blistering heat for now.

5. Clouds pile up along the horizon, rough muddles shapes too loose for proper thunderheads.
